The Pastor Ross was discussing "the Lord of the green hope". He elaborated on the seasons in our life, and mentioned that there is often 'more fruit from God in the bad seasons' than in the good seasons in our life and our spiritual life. Have faith, In the drought, barren and parched land, the green sprigs come forth.

He mentioned the prophet Abraham and his barren wife Sara and how they conceived a child in their wrinkled old age. The fruit of God in a barren time. Galatians 4:27

He also mentioned Celebrating the harvest of Psalm 126. He discussed one using more faith language in our life and speaking God's promises. Using less assumptions in our life and sowing the seed.

The Lord of the green hope. A green hope in the leaves of the evergreen tree by the living waters of the river of life.(by Julie).

What a beautiful poem...

May the Lord bring us more and more vocations to the holy priesthood, and may we remember and acknowledge how much we need them on our life's journey.

Nice post. These seven daily habits remind me a bit of St. Francis de Sales, who of course is the most famous for promoting the universal call to holiness. It wouldn't be strictly that "all the saints incorporated "the rosary" into their daily routine", but I guess what is meant is that all the saints would somehow combine vocal and mental prayer, as the rosary does... or something like that.

Thank you Becky. I like Father McCloskey's last quote when he speaks of our "gradual transformation into another Christ through prayer".... As a busy mom it's hard to find quite time but I notice if I carve out just 30 minutes daily it makes all the difference in how I approach my family.
