I am currently reading Come Be My Light, a biography of Blessed Theresa of Calcutta including her letters, in which she writes often about how Jesus thirsts for souls. Just this week, I learned about a meditation often distributed by the Missionaries of Charity Fathers, who are a community of priests founded by Mother Theresa. The meditation is called “I Thirst for You,” and is profoundly beautiful and moving. I have read it over and over since I first encountered it a few days ago.
Rather than making it a typical blog entry, I’m giving it a page of its own, in the hopes that the prominent link will catch the attention of future visitors. Nothing I could write can get to the heart of spirituality, to the bottom line when it comes to Christ’s love for us and His desire for our sanctification like this meditation. May it touch your heart the way it did mine.
